Game 3 Recap vs. WV Wildfire

The Prodigy (3-0) took a long trip through the mountains of West Virginia for a rematch against the Wildfire (1-2).  West Virginia promised things would be different from their 67-0 drubbing from the start of the season.

To start the game the Prodigy defense held the Wildfire and they were forced to turn over the ball on downs. The Washington offense, led by running back Cheri "Little Mimi" Gantt scored on their first play from scrimmage, a 29 yard touchdown.

The Prodigy defense joined in on the action, with a interception returned for a touchdown by Keshia Cousar, her second of the season.

In the 2nd quarter Gantt would score again, this time from 3 yards out. After a blocked punt on the Wildfire's fourth down, running back Monecho Cousar would score as well.

Prodigy continued to dominate the second quarter as Shalise "Tigg" Epps came down with an interception and running back LaNia Charity scored on a 25 yard run. Washington was on top at the half 35-0.

In the third quarter, the Prodigy were able to turn a recovered Wildfire fumble into another 5 yard touchdown from Charity.

But West Virginia would not quit. The Wildfire were able to turn a series of missed tackles into a 71 yard touchdown run, making the final score, 42-6.
